Princeville, HI. Confirmed for the reunion.
After Lynbrook I started college and then won the lottery. Unfortunately it was the draft lottery, so shortly thereafter I became the least likely individual to ever wear a Marine Corps uniform. After visiting the exotic orient courtesy of the USMC, I decided I no longer wished to be one of the few or the proud. So I returned to college and to the amazement of all, received an MBA in taxation and became a CPA. I have had a CPA practice in Santa Cruz for the past 30 years. I asked Mary my long suffering wife of 38 years, if she wanted to say something nice about our life together and her kind response was “at least you haven’t been boring”. A few years ago we built a house in Kauai where we live 9 months a year; once a year we return to Capitola to do a bit of work and see friends and family. I surf occasionally, but if my 18 year old self could see my 58 year old self, I suspect there would be serious debate if what I do in the water still actually constitutes surfing. I don’t know if we can make the reunion, maybe if the surf is flat that week…. (6/10/08)
