Bob was an outreach worker for the TB Control program in San Francisco. He managed the TB screening and treatment for our patients on methadone. He did other things for the program but will be remembered for his compassion for the poor and kindness to his colleagues. He died May 2007 when the roses were in full bloom. We had a rose planted in his honor in front of our building during the winter. I was there when he passed in the hospital from pneumonia and I can tell you that he died with many prayers, friendship and love.L.
