Danville, CA. Confirmed for the reunion. So I lucked out a few times. I married the girl of my dreams, Lori Engelfried, Lynbrook Class of '70. But I took a heck of long time to propose because first I had to travel around the country for a few years in a rock band and have a ridiculously good time. We've got four amazing kids--three girls and a boy. I helped Dean Markley start his guitar string company and then got the idea to start a magazine BAM, the California Music Magazine which became the largest local music magazine in the country. I then started the Mix for recording studios, and my most successful magazine (lucked out again) MicroTimes, which became the 8th largest computer magazine in the country. I also started an award show that went on for 27 years called the Bay Area Music Awards, the Bammies. Now I'm running a marketing company called Placemaking Group. Oh, and I play bass in the Delta Dogs Blues Band, with my brother Johnny (Lynbrook Class of '70) as lead guitar. |
